We are currently looking for a Warehouse Team Lead to join our Distribution Center team in Herten, Netherlands. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and compliant movement of products throughout our warehouse operations while leading and developing a team of warehouse associates.

This is an on-site position requiring strong leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The Position

As Warehouse Team Lead, you will coordinate and optimize daily warehouse activities across receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping operations. You will lead by example, promoting a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork while ensuring operational targets and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

Working closely with Customer Service, Planning, Quality, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams, you will help ensure seamless warehouse operations and excellent service delivery across the region.

 

 

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and inventory control activities.
  • Monitor workflows and resource allocation to ensure productivity and service targets are achieved.
  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counting, stock investigations, and inventory control procedures.
  • Optimize warehouse organization and storage utilization to improve operational efficiency.

     

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates.
  • Organize daily activities, assign work, and monitor team performance.
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing work environment.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support performance management activities.

Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with GDP requirements, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Support warehouse audits and inspections.
  • Investigate discrepancies, deviations, and operational issues, implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Champion a strong safety culture through proactive risk identification and incident prevention.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor key warehouse KPIs including productivity, inventory accuracy, order quality, and shipping performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Support warehouse projects, system enhancements, and standardization efforts.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for day-to-day operational challenges.
  • Experience leading and developing teams within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and engage employees.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and translate insights into actions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Thorough understanding of health, safety, quality, and compliance requirements in a warehouse environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Several years of experience in a Team Lead, Supervisor, or similar warehouse leadership position.
  • Experience working within an international organization.
  • Experience driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your recruitment team will be able to share more information about any variable pay opportunity and benefit package that accompanies this role. The good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is 40.000 to 45.000 Euro Annually. The actual amount offered is determined by a number of factors including but not limited to location, skills and experience.
