Location: Harlingen Medical Center – Harlingen, TX
Responsibilities
The Trauma Registrar will collect (abstract), enter, code and validate data for the Trauma and Stroke Registries under the direction of the Trauma Program Coordinator. Assist with collection, formulation and tracking of emergency and trauma quality assurance, quality improvement indicators. May also be required to prepare and assist with other reports, distribution of information throughout the hospital, filing and secretarial responsibilities as designated and assist with outreach and prevention projects as related to the Trauma and Stroke Programs.Qualifications
1. Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.2. Recommended: Some college or business school.3. Preferred: One or two years of clerical experience.4. Required: One year of previous health care experience, including the use of medical records and cording. 5. Required: Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology. 6. Required: Proficient in the use of Microsoft word programs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, knowledge of Medical terminology. 7. Required: Must speak, read, and write English with the ability to compose correspondence displaying good command of the English language. Preferred: BilingualPay Transparency
