We're looking for a visionary Lead Digital Product Owner to lead the development and execution of transformative product roadmaps that align with RBC's business objectives and deliver measurable value. In this role, you'll lead complex digital initiatives, mentor high-performing teams, and collaborate across the organization to implement innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and drive business growth. As a trusted strategic partner, you'll influence key decisions, resolve complex challenges, and foster a culture of excellence within your team and across cross-functional partnerships.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Lead the development and prioritization of product roadmaps, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of features and solutions that address customer needs and business goals
- Manage product backlogs and oversee sprint planning and execution, ensuring alignment with product requirements and business objectives while addressing complex technical and operational challenges
- Execute on digital product owner tasks and projects requiring advanced problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking, particularly in ambiguous situations
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical partners to identify innovation opportunities, define product visions, and implement best practices to enhance product quality and user experience
- Drive decisions on complex issues to develop clear, actionable recommendations for management, ensuring alignment on processes, tools, and services with organizational impact
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering collaboration, resolving escalated issues, and ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives and long-term objectives
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional collaboration efforts, fostering strong internal relationships and external partnerships to achieve impactful business outcomes
- Leverage advanced and creative problem-solving skills to resolve complex digital product challenges and implement innovative solutions
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must Have:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, digital product ownership, or equivalent roles within a technology or financial services environment
- Proven expertise in developing and executing product roadmaps and managing complex product lifecycles from conception to market delivery
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication, strong presentation skills, and ability to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholder groups
- Enterprise knowledge and experience working in a leadership role within a financial institution or equivalent organization
- Advanced capability in strategic thinking, complex problem-solving, and decision-making with comfort operating in ambiguous environments
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in a matrix environment within a large, publicly-traded corporation
- Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers across organizational silos
- Capital Markets, Wealth Management, and/or regulatory domain experience
- Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and digital transformation initiatives
