Power Delivery Director

Lead, coach, develop, and grow a team of Energy Project Leads responsible for utility power delivery across multiple datacentre programmes. Establish clear objectives, accountability, performance expectations, and operational excellence across the Energy Delivery organisation. Drive a culture of safety, quality, inclusion, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Lead coordination across a complex network of stakeholders including: Integrated Design Engineers Construction Managers Permitting Project Managers Utility Energy Project Managers Procurement Project Managers E2E Project Managers Datacenter Operations External utilities, regulators, and delivery partners Resolve cross-functional delivery challenges and remove execution barriers that impact schedule, cost, quality, or energisation readiness. Ensure clear ownership, governance, and decision-making across all parties involved in energy delivery. Bachelor's OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field, OR equivalent experience. Significant experience leading large-scale infrastructure, utility, energy, transmission, distribution, or mission-critical facility programmes. Experience leading and developing project management or programme management teams. Experience delivering complex infrastructure programmes involving multiple stakeholders, contractors, utilities, and regulatory agencies. Experience managing executive-level stakeholder relationships and driving organisational alignment across matrixed environments. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related discipline. Professional engineering registration, chartership, or equivalent industry accreditation. Experience working directly with utilities, transmission operators, or regulatory agencies. Experience managing geographically distributed teams and programmes across multiple countries. Experience within datacentre, hyperscale, mission-critical, energy, or utility sectors. Strong understanding of power infrastructure, utility connection processes, and energisation requirements. Demonstrated success delivering programmes in fast-paced, highly matrixed organisations. Exceptional communication, influencing, negotiation, and executive engagement skills. Provide executive oversight of the full lifecycle delivery of utility power infrastructure from initial utility engagement through energisation and operational handover. Ensure successful execution of utility connection agreements, substation delivery, offsite transmission and distribution infrastructure, and energisation activities. Ensure alignment between utility schedules, permitting milestones, design deliverables, procurement activities, construction progress, and datacentre readiness requirements. Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with utilities, transmission system operators, distribution system operators, regulators, and strategic partners. Support negotiations related to grid connections, delivery schedules, technical requirements, and commercial commitments. Ensure energy infrastructure programmes are executed in compliance with applicable regulations, utility requirements, engineering standards, environmental obligations, permitting requirements, and safety expectations. Lead assessment and mitigation of risks associated with power delivery, energisation, utility dependencies, and critical infrastructure readiness. Drive governance processes and executive reporting related to schedule, risk, capacity, cost, and portfolio health. Provide portfolio-level reporting and executive updates on energy delivery performance. Support regional capacity planning and long-range infrastructure strategies. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance programme execution, scalability, and operational efficiency across the energy delivery function.
