Job Description:

The Associate - eFX Sales will support the Electronic Foreign Exchange (eFX) sales desk in monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing the performance of our electronic client business. The role requires strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams within the broader FX business. The successful candidate will help advance our electronic offering and contribute to the growth of our eFX platform. This position reports directly to the VP of eFX Sales in New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client coverage – once ready start to cover your own pool of accounts, working on maximizing the value to the business.
• Reporting/ data – assist with data mining for both ad hoc and scheduled client reports.
• Client calls/ meetings – help with any preparation work, attend calls/ meetings, assist with write ups and follow up actions.
• Platform monitoring – help with identifying any ongoing issues/ client configuration etc.
• Algo execution – become an expert in algo execution, help with monitoring client activity.
• Platform analysis – work with our vendors to get the most out of our platform data that we receive, help to identify low hanging fruit.
• Client prospecting – help with looking for either brand new clients or introducing existing FX accounts to eFX.
• Challenge existing processes - propose process improvements and identify areas of STP.
• Marketing materials – create new materials for clients/ update existing marketing.
• Shadow wider sales & trading to better understand day to day work and responsibilities.

Depth & Scope:

• Gathers, researches information and analyzes the market
• Executes detailed data analysis and valuation
• Provides in-depth market reports and expert recommendations
• Identifies issues affecting clients and provides recommendations to remedy
• Develops deep client relationships and presents new ideas to clients
• Executes trades and secures deals with new clients
• Keeps market-making traders informed of relevant issues with their customers and products
• Obtains market prices from market-making traders and executes the trade
• Ensures all trades are confirmed with the broker/dealer
• Inputs trades (post execution), and Verifies transactions meet company policies and followed approved guidelines
• Researches and resolves trade discrepancies
• Confirms trade blotters against trades booked in systems
• Coordinates with back office on all failed trade status and communicates to front office
• Coordinates with back office on position breaks and reports to the front office
• Assists traders in mark-to-market process
• Coordinates trade reconciliation discrepancy resolution with back office
• Looks for ways to improve work flow efficiencies
• Reads and understands the Trading Supervision Standard
• Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
• 3+ Years of related experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, establishes priorities, and possesses strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Management experience and solid computer skills a must
