Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director Program Management located on Flex North.

Reporting to the Industrial VP, Program Management the Director Program Management role is responsible for developing corporate, global, and organizational policies, and directing cross functional activities to deliver quality programs to external customers, with the overall focus to ensure customer satisfaction and retention to generate growth for the business. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Support the program team in the guidance of clients by developing strategic plans, goals, timelines, and measures of success for implementing contracted Flex’s products and services.  Act as the primary point of contact between the business and its clients. 
  • Manage PCBA/SMT programs from project launch through production, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, manufacturing operations, and business objectives
  • Oversee the scheduling, coordination and implementation of contracted Flex’s products and services for assigned clients. 
  • Coordinate with the client and Flex operations to define data requirements, production schedule and deliverables as required. 
  • Ensure effective communication of strategy as required between cross functional teams to ensure project / product or service has a smooth and timely transition through all phases of documented development processes. 
  • Work with the Director and Management team about coordination of team members to ensure key metrics are monitored per account and that customer satisfaction is closely monitored. 
  • Innovate and authorize projects using broad and far vision and expertise in customer requirements to improve and/or extend the value proposition to existing customers, linking them more firmly to Flex. 
  • Participate in and/or support major contract negotiations.  
  • Be responsible to drive, collaborate and steer business development activities to win replacement and growth business. 
  • Provide business proposal support and inputs for existing and new business. 
  • Monitor and support the program team to ensure an effective use of and participation in Quarterly Business Review process. 
  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce. 

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in Program Management, Customer Focus, Operations, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex customer programs within the EMS industry.
  • Strong experience leading PCBA/SMT projects, including NPI, production ramp-up, capacity planning, manufacturing execution, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience within manufacturing industry is a must
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain, planning, and production processes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, account development, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting business proposals, contract negotiations, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced English proficiency required for communication with global customers and internal leadership teams.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.
