Job Description
Let’s Talk about the Role
The Field Service Technician will perform complex field maintenance, installation, and repair on vital hydropower equipment to ensure long-term, reliable energy generation.
You will act as a key technical presence in the field, working on equipment ranging from individual components to machines weighing up to 500 tons. You will be instrumental in the assembly of new generators, the revision of existing assets, and the execution of critical maintenance tasks—all while ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence across project sites in Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
How You Will Make a Difference
Executing complex service, maintenance, and repair tasks on rotating equipment such as generators, motors, and turbines.
Performing precise installation of new components and generator systems.
Conducting expert troubleshooting to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
Maintaining high-quality standards through specialized tasks like CO2 cleaning and stator/rotor painting.
Collaborating with a diverse team of colleagues and external suppliers to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Championing a culture of safety by maintaining strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols at all times.
Special Role Requirements
Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
Willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.
Skills for Success
You should be a dedicated technical professional with:
The ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems.
The capability to read and interpret technical documentation in English.
An understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
Full proficiency in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish, and good understanding of English.
An expertise in the maintenance or repair of rotating equipment.
A keen interest in contributing to a sustainable future within the hydropower sector.
A formal mechanical trade certificate (fagbrev) is a great advantage, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements. If you have relevant field experience with rotating equipment, we encourage you to apply.

This is a permanent position based in our Lier office. We have a hybrid working model which gives you the flexibility to balance your time between project sites, our office, and home.
