As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in driving performance, safety, and quality across the shop floor. You will lead and develop hourly team members, build strong working relationships with union representatives and management, and help create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Through effective leadership and a commitment to standardized work, you will help ensure production lines run safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality levels

 

What you'll do...

  • Supervise, develop, and empower an hourly team to produce world-class manufactured products.
  • Lead daily workflow to achieve quality, safety, and productivity targets.
  • Coach standardized work and verify process adherence to help ensure safe, smooth, and efficient operations.
  • Set high performance expectations and drive the team to exceed individual, team, and company goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hourly team members, union stewards, and management partners.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and steady leadership in demanding situations.
  • Listen actively to team members and business partners to support open, two-way communication.
  • Use innovative thinking and a customer-first mindset to support continuous improvement on the line.
  • Enforce workplace policies and promote a strong culture of safety.
  • Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) consistently and effectively.
  • Value diverse perspectives and encourage ideas that strengthen the team and the business.

You'll have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of project management experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently on complex tasks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

 

Even better, you may have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing a unionized workforce
  • Safety and Quality department experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Knowledge of Constraint Management principles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
