Position Summary
Coordinator I, Prior Authorization & Appeals will be responsible for performing non-clinical activities and functions in accordance with policies and procedures, under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. Responsible for reviewing and maintaining compliance with ERISA, CMS, Medicaid, and client specific requirements. Works as part of the team to meet business unit objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year experience in Data Entry.
- Proficient in Windows applications (Word and Excel).
- Problem solving skills, analytical ability.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum 25-30 WPM.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Preferred knowledge of prescription drug products, dosage forms and usage.
- Medical / pharmacy terminology background.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-year healthcare industry related experience (hospital, managed care, physician office, PBM etc)
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent GED

The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $28.46This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
