Job Description
As a Security Officer Alarm Response Patrol in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, data center-related areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm or camera systems as assigned, reporting unusual conditions and following site-specific escalation procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
