Job Description – Project Engineer

Employment Type: Contractual
 

Role Summary

The Project Engineer – CFS will be responsible for execution, coordination, and delivery of Fire & Life Safety (CFS) systems for Data Centre projects in the West region. The role involves site execution, vendor coordination, quality assurance, and ensuring timely completion as per project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution & Coordination

  • Execute IBMS projects including access control, CCTV, fire alarm, PA system, HVAC integration, BMS/SCADA, smart sensors, and ELV systems.

  • Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and OEM vendors for timely project progress.

  • Ensure project activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.

2. Installation & Commissioning

  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of all IBMS/ELV equipment.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and ensure proper integration of hardware and software.

  • Prepare commissioning reports and ensure successful system handover.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation (BOQ, material tracking, as-built drawings, test reports).

  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.

  • Support project manager with project schedules and risk identification.

4. Client & Vendor Interaction

  • Participate in client meetings and technical discussions.

  • Coordinate with OEMs for material delivery, technical support, and warranty claims.

  • Provide technical guidance to clients during installation and commissioning stages.

5. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with project quality assurance processes and safety norms.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Electrical / Fire Engineering

  • 4–8 years of experience preferred)

  • Willingness to work on contractual payroll and project-based locations
