The Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist – Revenue Care is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition, billing, and financial control for sea logistics shipments. This role works closely with Operations, Customer Care, Finance, and Pricing teams to ensure all chargeable activities are captured, invoiced accurately, and compliant with company policies.
How you create impact
- Ensure timely and accurate billing for sea freight shipments by validating operational and financial data.
- Review shipment files to ensure all chargeable services are captured, minimizing revenue leakage.
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Care, Pricing, and Finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and support revenue recognition.
- Monitor unbilled shipments and proactively follow up to ensure invoices are issued within agreed timelines.
- Support month-end closing activities by ensuring billing accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain compliance with internal financial controls, standard operating procedures, and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver a high standard of service by responding promptly to internal and external revenue-related queries
What we would like you to bring
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, sea logistics operations, customer care, billing, or revenue management.
- Exposure to sea freight operations and logistics documentation is highly desirable.
- Understanding of freight billing processes, invoicing, and revenue recognition principles.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across different functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using freight forwarding systems such as CargoWise, SAP, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
