Job Description:

We are now looking for a Supply Chain Business improver to join our team at Airbus Portugal GBS.

Responsibilities - your mission 

The Supply Chain Business Improver drives operational excellence and continuous improvement within the Cabin Supply Chain organization. This role bridges strategic initiatives and daily operations by leading transformation projects, ensuring adherence to Airbus processes, and supporting digitalization efforts. By coordinating cross-functional tasks and managing internal communications, the successful candidate will ensure the supply chain operates with maximum efficiency, compliance, and agility. 

Essential Functions: 

Support & Expertise

  • Operational Enablement: Support and enable operations to resolve complex internal and external supply chain challenges.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align cross-PICOx topics to deliver efficient and rapid results.

  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide targeted expertise and guidance to operators or project teams on complex subjects as needed.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on overall PiCO operational performance.

Transformation & Digitalization

  • Project Leadership: Lead and execute internal transformation projects within PiCO.

  • External Integration: Act as a project member or workstream leader for externally driven projects (e.g., ARP, Optiflow).

  • Digitalization: Support and drive all PI (Process Improvement) digitalization initiatives across the organization.

Compliance, Knowledge & Communication

  • Knowledge Management: Secure and maintain the appropriate level of operational knowledge within the PiCO team.

  • Process Compliance: Fulfill POM Representative tasks, ensuring full PiCO compliance with established Airbus processes.

  • Internal Communication: Manage and streamline communications within PiCO to ensure organizational alignment.

 

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have 

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

  • Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, preferably within the aerospace or heavy manufacturing sector.

  • Proven track record of leading continuous improvement or transformation projects in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Ability to dissect complex supply chain bottlenecks and provide actionable solutions.

  • Capability to drive digital transformation and operational change without disrupting daily outputs.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate seamlessly across multiple departments and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Fluency in English sufficient to fully engage in negotiations

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment 

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally when needed
