As a Sr Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead global Manufacturing Engineering, drive operational excellence, and implement efficient processes. You will report directly to our Sr Process Engineer Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua location on an On-site work schedule.
As a Sr SMT Process Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in advancing surface mount technology processes by applying your expertise to optimize manufacturing efficiency, quality, and yield. You will lead process improvements, troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SMT processes into production operations.
You will report directly to our Engineering Process Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Ciudad Juarez, Chih. location on our 2nd Shift.
In this role, you will impact the reliability and performance of Honeywell’s electronic assemblies by driving process innovation and operational excellence in SMT manufacturing, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

- Lead and optimize SMT process development, including solder paste printing, component placement, reflow profiling, and inspection processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues to improve yield, quality, and throughput in SMT manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and manufacturing to ensure process integration and continuous improvement.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Electronics engineering, Electromechanics engineering, Electrical engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in SMT process engineering or related manufacturing engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of SMT assembly processes, solder paste printing, reflow soldering, and inspection techniques
- Experience with process control tools, statistical process control (SPC), and failure analysis methodologies
- Proficiency with SMT equipment programming, process simulation software, and quality management systems
- Advanced English Level

- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing principles, and root cause analysis
