The Position

GCS Knowledge & Learning Excellence (KLE) is responsible for the creation of multilingual user and service documentation, user interface texts, digital learning material, internal knowledge management, and AI readiness of content. Within KLE, the Language Operations team takes care of all aspects related to terminology, translation, localization, language models, and source language governance. To do what really matters, we are in close contact with our stakeholders, both internally and externally. As a Terminology and Language Solutions Expert, you will work in an innovative and motivated team with a great team spirit constantly striving for the best.

As intern, your main responsibilities will be related to:

  • Managing terminology in English and in the language(s) in charge
  • Maintaining the terminology management system and continuously improving the representation of multilingual knowledge
  • Ensuring that quality targets, timelines, and regulatory requirements are respected and contributing to improvements of content creation and quality assurance tools, processes, and standards, in alignment with other KLE subchapters and relevant stakeholders
  • Creating English user interface texts, and reviewing them for translatability, terminological correctness, and adherence to style guidelines
  • Managing user feedback on the content provided by GenAI applications

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program or have completed your studies a maximum of 12 months ago in linguistics, translation studies, language technology, or computational linguistics
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • You have one of the following as native language: Chinese, Japanese (preferred) or another language
  • Good knowledge of terminology management
  • Basic knowledge of language technology and artificial intelligence
  • Good knowledge of terminology management systems, taxonomies, or controlled vocabularies is beneficial
  • You are motivated, reliable and like to work independently 
  • Strong communication skills

Compensation & Benefits
