Job Description
Integrated Business Planning (IBP) brings together forecasting and planning across marketing, sales, finance, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service into a unified process. This integration ensures alignment across the enterprise, leading to superior customer outcomes.
As one of the CMR/HDX Demand Planners, you will collaborate closely with an IBP data scientist to generate reliable forecasts and coordinate demand reviews. This particular role will be focused on the Cellular Mollecular Research and Health Care Diagnostics sales channels (CMR/HDX). Your role will be crucial in ensuring effective demand schedules, streamlining internal processes, and ultimately enhancing the customer experience.
Responsible for analyzing overall product demand, forecasting future demand and product needs, and providing input into component demand schedules.
Assists in the improvement of demand forecasting accuracy for internal and external customers, working with demand data scientist(s) to determine the appropriate algorithm for statistical forecasts.
The work of the demand planner will enable Agilent to maximize account sales and inventory turns by accurately forecasting demand, managing product history and promotional demand, and identifying historical sales trends and demand patterns.
Works with the demand data scientist(s) to maintain integrity of data for demand model inputs and analyzes internal demand stream information.
Collaborates on Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes to enhance demand sensing and adjustment of long-term view of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
Develops reports and leads demand review forums, reporting on attainment of business objectives, adherence to demand forecast schedules and driving consensus on unconstrained demand.
Principle Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop Demand Forecasts: Utilize IBP data scientist modeling, market intelligence, and field sales input to create accurate demand forecasts.
- Coordinate Demand Reviews: Collaborate with sales and marketing stakeholders to conduct thorough demand reviews.
- Execute Demand Planning: Provide reliable forecasts to ensure effective demand planning.
- Analyze Historical Sales Trends: Review past sales trends, research demand drivers, and evaluate forecast results to inform future planning.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis: Investigate key metrics such as forecast accuracy, bias, and value add to identify underlying issues.
- Derive Consolidated Forecasts: Generate a comprehensive forecast of unconstrained demand.
- Evaluate IBP Deviations: Discuss and understand the impact of last month's IBP deviations on the current month's plan.
- Facilitate Best Practices: Proactively facilitate and re-engineer best practices, fostering consensus among functional experts.
- Drive Improvement Actions: Implement actions for improvement and develop a stakeholder communication plan.
- Monitor Forecast Consumption: Track forecast consumption and plan attainment to ensure alignment with goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
8+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.
Extensive knowledge and specialized expertise in sales, marketing, or finance; experience in forecasting or planning is a plus.
Strong executive presence and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to assess complex business problems and deliver impactful results.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with different levels of management.
Self-motivated and capable of operating independently.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
