Senior Data Analyst / Data Scientist – SITE III BES Program

 

Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst/Scientist to join the mission-driven SITE III BES team. In this role, you will help transform and advance a portfolio of enterprise applications that support critical business functions—Acquisition, Training, Security, and Human Resources—serving a global Intelligence Community workforce.

 

SITE III BES provides a unified, multi-disciplinary approach to requirements engineering, solutions development, system integration, cloud modernization, data science, and DevSecOps. As part of our team, you will apply advanced analytical methods, engineering best practices, and modern data technologies to evolve high‑visibility business platforms and the backend workflows that keep our customer’s enterprise running.

 

What You’ll Do As a Senior Data Analyst/Scientist, you will play a key role in shaping how data is collected, understood, and leveraged across the enterprise. You will:

 

• Partner with mission stakeholders to identify data needs and design methods for collecting, structuring, and enriching data• Analyze operational and business data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights• Develop new frameworks, tools, and automated pipelines for data collection, transformation, and integration• Work with large, complex datasets to locate signal within noise and extract meaningful information• Apply data mining, statistical analysis, and exploratory modeling to support decision-making• Create clear, compelling reports, visualizations, and briefings for technical and non‑technical audiences• Correlate and connect data across disparate systems to highlight relationships and drive enterprise-level outcomes• Help steer the evolution of cloud-based data architectures and analytics capabilities within the customer environment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance adjudication, and ability to pass a CI poly
  • Bachelor’s degree relative to the position with 12+ years of relevant experience. Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree 
  • 3+ years working in the Data Science field. Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data
  • Experience in Data Analysis, data engineering and enrichment
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders
  • Strong testing, verification, and validation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
  • Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with software development, either an open-source enterprise software development stack (Java/Linux/Ruby) or a Windows development stack (.NET, C#, C++).
  • Experience with data transport and transformation APIs and technologies such as JSON, XML, XSLT, JDBC, SOAP and REST.
  • Experience with machine learning, algorithm analysis, and data clustering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
