Role Summary / Overview
The Operations Manager at Literati will lead the day-to-day operations of our Kids Book Club fulfillment, ensuring books are accurately processed, packed, and shipped to families across the country. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, leading and developing team members, optimizing workflows, and managing resources to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality operation. By driving operational excellence and continuous improvement, the Operations Manager plays a key role in delivering the joy and magic of reading to children with every shipment.
The salary range for this role is $75,000–$90,000 annually. This is a full-time, exempt position.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
5+ years of experience in operations management or similar leadership role
Proven track record of managing budgets and improving operational efficiency
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with financial planning and performance analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
Experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management
Proficiency in operations management software and tools
Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage daily operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of a department or organization to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
Lead and manage staff: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees and managers to meet company objectives. This includes delegating tasks and resolving conflicts.
Handle finances: Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure cost-effective practices. Analyze financial statements and other performance metrics to improve profitability.
Set strategy and goals: Establish policies, procedures, and goals in line with the company's overall objectives. Ensure that staff and departments work to achieve these goals.
Ensure compliance and quality: Enforce company policies and standards, and work to maintain a high level of quality in products or services.
Manage resources: Plan and oversee the use of materials and human resources, and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
