About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and deploy Radar Front End Software, as a Lead Engineer, one will work with team which develops Radar Front End(RFE) Software, tightly coupled with Chipset drivers which comes from different chip manufacturer used in Automotive and Industrial Automation applications.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Radar fundamentals, Problem solving skill, expertise in Embedded C, understand MATLAB scripts and port into production-ready embedded software, and deep experience in platform bring-up, and hardware-software debugging. You will work closely with Radar Systems, Chipset vendors, and product teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions across multiple generations.
This role is best suited for engineers who enjoy solving complex system-level challenges, working across multiple domains and Chipset manufacturers
Your Responsibilities
- Create, deploy, maintain, and use Radar Front End software for automotive radars
- Participate across the complete Software V-Cycle Requirement analysis, software design, Development, Unit testing, Integration Testing, System Verification & Validation, Release & Maintenance
- Resolve issues reported on RFE from various customer on multiple generations of Radars. Work with Radar systems team for RFE testing and software release test. Work with Chipset vendors to design radar, integrate their software, joint debug, technical discussion
- Work with global teams on cross domain support, customer support
- Lead team members to achieve project goals, handle planning and execution
- Ensure software quality through code reviews, static analysis, automated testing, and continuous integration practices
- Partner with Algorithm, Systems, Hardware, Validation, Product Management, and Customer teams. Drive technical discussions and contribute to architecture and implementation decisions
- Support issue triaging, customer escalations, and product releases when required. Collaborate effectively across global and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of advanced software engineering practices
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and communication
- Overall Exp 8 to 14 Years, 10+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development, debugging, log analysis
- Strong knowledge and work experience with embedded C
- Strong knowledge on processor architecture, interfaces(TI/NXP adds value)
- Understanding of datasheet, TRM, schematics and safety manuals
- Exposure to functional safety concepts and implementations
- Expertise in usage of Lauterbach, oscilloscope, logic analyzer etc
- Basic experience in MatLab, Gtest, make files. Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with revision control and issue tracking (Plastic, Git/Gerrit, Jira, Jenkins or similar)
- Work independently, proactive, decision maker, passion for results, good team player
