Nurse RN Manager - Front Office (Registration, Scheduling & PAT)
JOB TITLE: FRONT OFFICE MANAGER (RN) – REGISTRATION, SCHEDULING, & PRE-ADMISSION TESTING (PAT)
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annual salary, based on skill and experience level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Managing day-to-day operations of the front office departments, including registration, scheduling, and PAT to ensure efficient patient and operational flow, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service. This role supervises front office personnel while closely coordinating with physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, physician offices, and inter-facility departments to optimize surgical schedule, workflow, and patient readiness.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Basic computer knowledge.
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
• Current State RN license
• Current BCLS certification
• Current ACLS certification preferred or basic EKG or Arrhythmia identification certification
• ASPAN membership preferred
RESPONSIBILTIES:
SUPERVISORY:
- Supervise registration, scheduling, and PAT staff including hiring, coaching, and evaluating team members while promoting a positive environment
- Develop staff schedules and maintain adequate staffing
- Conduct staff meetings and performance reviews
- Implement improvement strategies
REGISTRATION:
-Supervise patient registration process including: accurate demographic information is obtained, verify insurance eligibility, facilitate payment collection, obtain required consents, maintaining HIPAA compliance
SCHEDULING:
-Coordinate surgical schedules with physician offices, review schedule accuracy and case prioritization, resolving scheduling conflicts
PRE-ADMISSION TESTING (PAT):
-Oversee thorough review of patient medical history and completion of nursing assessments
-Ensure patients receive accurate medication instructions, NPO guidelines, arrival times
-Accuracy in pre-op clearances, lab work, EKG’S
-Communicate abnormal findings to physicians, anesthesia team
-Verify patient readiness for procedure
