General Summary:

Drafts, negotiates, administers, and manages contracts, while outlining clear terms that are aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Actively involved throughout the contract lifecycle from planning requirements,to fulfillment of obligations, addressing issues and risks as neededNegotiates contracts including terms clarification, issue resolution, and implementing negotiation strategies to achieve business goals and mitigate risks. Applies and maintains current understanding of Qualcomm policies, positions, and operations as well as legal guidelines related to contracts administration and/or management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Business Law, Political Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience in contract management, legal or procurement roles with focus on overssing end-to-end contract lifecyle management
  • Profession experience in drafting, reviewing, redlining and negotiating procurement contracts.
  • Experience in supporting contracts for foundry, manufacturing, test, assembly, and component suppliers
  • Proficiency in using CLM and and AI solutions / tools to streamline and automate contracts management

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drafts, negotiates and executes complex, high impact supplier agreements in collaboration with legal, stakeholders, sourcing, finance and other cross functional areas.
  • Collaborates with sourcing, stakeholders, legal and other SMEs to develop contract strategies to protect Qualcomm business, IP, and leadership positions, and to gain early access to tools, advanced materials, and technologies.
  • Researches, analyzes, and presents contractual positions (i.e. liability, confidentiality etc.), in collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs. Focuses on assessment/risk mitigation. Responsible for managing contractual results, through negotiation or other means. Leads and manages contract management systems and related business processes in accordance with business unit requirements.
  • Drives contract process improvements to support business objectives, reduce cycle time, and eliminate non-value-added costs.

  • Works independently with minimal supervision and exercises sound judgment in managing complex contract matters.
  • Shows autonomy managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams across business, legal, sourcing, finance, engineering, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to interpret contractual, business, and risk considerations and apply sound judgment in determining trade-offs and non-negotiablesCommunicates complex contractual issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders with varying levels of contract, business, and technical knowledge.
  • Leads contract-related initiatives, escalations, and process improvements that drive business objectives, mitigate risk, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Influences key stakeholder decisions by providing practical, business-oriented contract guidance and risk-based recommendations.
  • Develops and implelement contract stragies, templates, playbooks and business processes aligned with organizational objectives
  • Extensively uses technology to help streamline and automate the creation and maintenance of contracts, improve velocity, conduct risk assessment and ensure compliance.
  • Supports the development and implementation of contract strategies, templates, playbooks, and business processes aligned with organizational objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field. • 6+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$125,800.00 - $188,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
