Position Overview

Autodesk is building the data foundation that powers the Forma Industry Cloud, enabling customers to connect information, improve interoperability, and unlock greater value from their data across the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) lifecycle.

We are looking for an AEC Data Strategist to help shape the strategy and go-to-market approach for Autodesk's expanding portfolio of AEC data capabilities. Working as part of the AEC Design Industry Strategy team, you will analyze customer, market, and industry trends to identify opportunities that strengthen Autodesk's data platform and support the future of connected workflows.

In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Platform, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to develop strategic recommendations, support roadmap planning, and help bring new data capabilities to market. You will also contribute to ecosystem initiatives, including partnerships and strategic growth opportunities, while engaging directly with customers and industry stakeholders to validate market needs and inform future investments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, collaborating across teams, and using customer and market insights to help shape the future of data-driven experiences in the AECO industry.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into strategic recommendations that shape Autodesk's AEC data capabilities.
  • Develop business cases, executive presentations, and strategic frameworks to support product, go-to-market, and investment decisions.
  • Partner with Product and Platform teams to evaluate new opportunities and inform roadmap priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to support go-to-market planning and successful adoption of new data capabilities.
  • Support the development of Autodesk's data ecosystem through strategic partnerships, technology evaluations, and growth initiatives.
  • Engage directly with customers, industry organizations, and executive stakeholders to validate opportunities and understand evolving information management needs.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives, building alignment across teams to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry standards, and AI-driven trends that shape the future of data management in the AECO industry.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, product management, management consulting, go-to-market, corporate strategy, or a related field.
  • Experience developing strategic recommendations informed by customer, market, and competitive insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive presentations and delivering compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive initiatives in a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or Operations (AECO) industry.
  • Understanding of data management, information management, BIM workflows, interoperability, or model validation.
  • Experience supporting product strategy, platform strategy, strategic partnerships, or M&A initiatives.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, AI-enabled tools, or data-driven workflows.
