The OpportunityAs a State and Local Tax - Income Franchise - Senior Manager, you will provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters, helping them navigate complex regulations and optimize their tax positions. Within our Tax practice, you will leverage your skills and professional network to deliver quality results, motivating and coaching teams to solve complex problems. You will apply sound judgment, recognizing when to take action and when to escalate, while fostering diverse and inclusive teams that contribute to the success of our firm.
In this role at PwC, you will craft and convey clear, impactful messages that tell a holistic story, applying systems thinking to identify underlying problems and opportunities. You will validate outcomes with clients, share alternative perspectives, and act on client feedback. Responsibilities
- Leading strategic advisory initiatives in state and local tax matters to optimize client tax positions
- Analyzing and interpreting complex local tax laws and regulations to provide actionable insights
- Guiding teams in developing and implementing tax compliance strategies for diverse clients
- Utilizing analytical thinking to identify opportunities for tax efficiency and compliance improvement
- Directing the execution of multistate tax compliance projects, confirming timely and accurate delivery
- Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and professional growth
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand and address their tax needs
- Applying systems thinking to identify underlying tax-related challenges and opportunities
- Crafting and conveying clear, impactful messages that communicate complex tax concepts effectively
- Validating outcomes with clients and incorporating feedback to refine tax strategies
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 6 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

The salary range for this position is: $124,000 - $335,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
