Client Technology Specialist

Position Summary: The Client Technology Specialist is a client-facing technical support role responsible for Microsoft 365 administration, identity and access management, endpoint and network troubleshooting, cybersecurity support, and technology recommendations across managed client environments. This position requires strong technical judgment, clear communication, ownership of client issues, and the ability to translate technology needs into practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary technical contact for client support requests across tickets, phone, email, remote support, onsite visits, and escalations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Microsoft 365, Windows and macOS endpoints, cloud applications, networking, security tools, printers, mobile devices, and business systems.
- Administer Microsoft 365 client environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Defender, Intune, licensing, permissions, groups, and security policies.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID user lifecycle processes, access controls, authentication issues, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts, endpoint protection concerns, risk indicators, and cybersecurity improvement opportunities.
- Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, recommendations, and client communications in the PSA platform.
- Support Microsoft 365 migrations, client onboarding, tenant optimization, compliance, retention, and governance initiatives.
- Build trusted client relationships by communicating clearly, setting expectations, and providing practical recommendations that improve security, productivity, reliability, and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for additional services, licenses, security solutions, managed service enhancements, and technology upgrades that create measurable client value.
- Participate in after-hours support rotation as required.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft-centric business environments, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or multi-client support model.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Defender, Intune, licensing, permissions, groups, Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, endpoints, remote users, cloud applications, printers, mobile devices, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, wireless networking, and firewalls.
- Experience using ticketing systems, documenting service activity, managing escalations, and communicating clearly with clients and internal teams.
- Strong prioritization, problem-solving, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver license with ability to travel to client locations as needed.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate, or Modern Desktop Administrator.
- Preferred tool experience includes Intune, Microsoft Defender, SharePoint Online, Teams Voice, ConnectWise PSA/RMM, Huntress, SentinelOne, Datto, or SaaS backup solutions.
