About the role:

You'll implement and continuously improve fraud prevention rules in Salmon's automated decisioning platform, protecting high-volume payment transactions in real time.

What you'll do

  1. Build and tune antifraud rules using custom scripting and complex decision logic, working with live transaction data across Salmon's payment systems

  2. Partner with fraud, AML, compliance, and operations teams to translate risk requirements into production-ready system logic — from rule design to deployment

  3. Own the full delivery lifecycle: gather requirements, manage tasks in Jira and Confluence, oversee releases, and monitor services in production

What you'll own:

  1. Implement and improve antifraud rules and decision logic in the automated platform, iterating based on detection performance and new fraud patterns

  2. Design and build API integrations for fraud and risk decisioning from scratch

  3. Build and manage integrations with internal teams (AML, Core Banking) and external service providers

  4. Design new microservices and improve existing service logic and architecture

  5. Investigate and resolve production incidents for fraud-related services, and document outcomes

  6. Write and maintain clear technical documentation for rules, integrations, and system components

What makes you a strong fit:

  1. 3+ years as a System Analyst, System Engineer, or Software Developer in fintech or banking

  2. Hands-on experience with code development or low-code/automation platforms

  3. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and system integration patterns

  4. Proven API design and integration skills — comfortable building integrations from scratch

  5. Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation

  6. Familiar with GitLab or GitOps workflows

  7. English B2 or higher
