Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer. This is a Hybrid-Remote role based at our Moon Township, PA site. This position will require roughly 25% travel to customer sites.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you’ll do:
The Product Stewardship & Field Services Eng will have three primary roles:
• Maintain the Series Rating program for all Eaton circuit breakers, fuses, and enclosures • Drive compliance with environmental programs such as RoHS, Prop 65, etc. • Engage in and manage CP product field reports
- Manage existing series ratings program, including testing circuit breakers in the Beaver or St. Louis High Power Labs, maintain and update UL files, maintain test records, maintain publications, create literature, and create documentation
- Seek opportunities to exploit our ratings for advantage over competitors
- Look for gaps in our ratings that give our competitors advantages
- Explore new combinations and designs that have good business cases
- Actively coordinate with Lincoln, Haina, Cherrington, and Sumpter to ensure new product development and product line support accounts for existing and new series rating requirements as well as environmental programs.
- Develop the scope of work for bringing our Lincoln and Haina plants into compliance with RoHS and Prop 65, advocate for funding in profit plan, and execute the plan
- Develop and maintain standard work and processes to assess, and if required, meet ROHS-2, REACH, Conflict Minerals, California Proposition 65 and other compliance standards.
- Possibly hire and manage direct report(s) depending on the scope of the compliance plan
- Develop business cases and pitch them to management for environmental and series ratings projects
- Seek out and exploit competitive advantages Eaton and CP can realize through superior product lifecycle planning and environmental compliance
- Respond to customer requests for information as needed
- Cadence review of field feedback on products with product design teams
- Define scope of opportunities for design improvements / enhancements
- Direct field engagement as required
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of experience working with electrical products (breakers, fuses, enclosures, etc.)
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a 50 mile radius of the Cherrington facility in Moon Township, PA, will be considered. Active-Duty Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Understanding of firmware in electrical products
- Prior experience interacting with customers
- Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering
- Prior experience in a product design, manufacturing environment or field services

- Basic understanding of electrical equipment and application

- Aptitude for supporting multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent presentation skills and public speaking experience
- Basic knowledge of key manufacturing processes such as plastic molding and forming, metal casting, sheet metal fabrication and electronics
