About the role
Markit is how procurement teams across Europe buy IT. For most companies that is still slow, manual and full of approvals. Markit turns it into one flow, across 50+ countries. The buyer side of that is your product.First job: we are moving the marketplace onto a new platform. Get the migration right, so buyers and account managers keep everything they rely on. Then shape the next version of the storefront, from search and product pages to checkout and approval workflows. Your scope is the buyer experience, working with a dedicated team.
You work directly with the CTO, who wants a partner to build the practice with. Product management at Markit is evolving. The habits that make it work, talking to users on a rhythm, writing decisions down, showing outcomes regularly, are being established. Establishing them is part of the job.
Migration and innovation run in parallel, so you cannot pause one to focus on the other. And with country managers across 50+ countries, each with their own needs, ideas and requirements, prioritisation is the job: you need a real process, the spine to say no, and the data to back it up.
What we’re looking for
- 5 or more years as a PM in B2B marketplace, procurement, or e-commerce. Fluent English, other languages a plus.
- You've owned a migration or replatforming before, or something equivalently messy.
- Discovery is muscle memory: you talk to users, validate, decide. And you can name the numbers you tracked and what you changed because of them.
- Strong written communication. You document decisions so people stop relitigating them, and you take pushback directly instead of routing conflict upward.
- You want to build how product works here, not just own a slice of it.
What you’ll do
- Own the migration backlog for the buyer-facing surfaces. Decide what ships in the new platform, what gets cut, what waits.
- Run discovery with country managers across our main markets. Find the patterns, push back on the one-offs, and turn the rhythm into a habit: regular conversations, decisions on one page, demos people actually attend.
- Shape the next storefront once the migration is stable. Search, product pages, checkout, approval flows, account UX.
- Define and track success metrics for everything you own. Every initiative you run has a metric attached.
What we offer
- Ownership. The platform transition is the defining product effort of the next two years. You shape what the new marketplace looks like.
- Headquarters is Tallinn. You can be based anywhere in the EU.
- Moderate travel, to Tallinn and to our country teams.
- A B2B marketplace used by procurement teams across Europe, around 200 people, local country teams and a broad supplier network behind every order.
