Airbus UpNext – Flight Control Actuator Specialist (m/f)
Job Description:
With the development of future Airbus programs accelerating, Airbus UpNext is launching a new demonstrator. This high-stakes R&T flight platform has a dual mission: deliver flight-proven breakthroughs directly to future Airbus programs, and inject game-changing ideas to reshape how Airbus Commercial builds aircraft for the next 30 years.
Based in Toulouse (Saint Martin) with regular travel to Cazaux, this position comes with limited contract (CDI-C) linked to the deliverable of the demo ( estimated end date - end of July 2029), starting ASAP.
You will work within a flat, fast-paced project organization, collaborating closely with the program management team and technical work package leaders.
The Mission
As the Flight Control Actuator Specialist, you will be working within the Overall Systems Design team for the flight control system actuators perimeter, and your mission will be:
Manage functional integration of the actuators
Manage electrical integration of the actuators
Define and deliver the actuators V&V
Follow up the production and testing of the actuators at Suppliers
Follow up the qualification testing of the actuators
Define and test the actuators on the test bench
Define and test the actuators on the A/C, through ground or flight tests
Deliver the necessary V&V documentation for the permit to fly
Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of the actuators
The candidate will be required to work very closely with various other teams, like Loads, Airframe teams as well as the other actuators and flight controls design teams.
The tasks may evolve during the course of the project, so being flexible is important.
What You’ll Own
Flight Control actuators delivery: ensure the delivery of the flight control actuators
Flight Control actuators integration and testing: plan, define and perform the integration and testing of the actuators on the test bench and on the A/C
Flight Control actuators in flight in service support: Ensure that the actuators are are serviceable during the flight test campaign
Your Boarding Pass
At least 5 years experience in the actuator design, development and testing, preferably in electro mechanical actuators
Experience mainly in flight control domain
Experience in testing
A good understanding of systems interfaces and management
Able to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working
Have good skills in practical problem solving
Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability
English and French are mandatory
