By uniting product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and partners around a common customer mission, we help customers realize value faster and turn innovation into measurable business impact. Through deep technical expertise and differentiated go-to-market execution, we win competitively, capture market share, and scale repeatable growth motions. Are you passionate about helping customers successfully navigate complex data migration journeys to Microsoft 365? Do you enjoy solving technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and guiding customers through transformational cloud adoption initiatives?

The Global Consumption & Delivery Acceleration team is looking for a FastTrack Migration SME to help customers accelerate their migration and modernization efforts across Microsoft 365. In this role, you will partner closely with customers, field teams, partners, and delivery stakeholders to assess migration requirements, develop migration strategies, and drive successful onboarding outcomes for organizations transitioning from Exchange, Google Workspace, File Shares, and Box to Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online (EXO), OneDrive for Business (ODfB), and SharePoint Online (SPO).

As a trusted technical advisor, you will leverage deep expertise in migration methodologies, tools, and best practices to help customers remove deployment barriers, mitigate risks, and achieve their desired business outcomes. You will play a critical role in guiding customers through every stage of the migration lifecycle, from discovery and planning to execution and adoption.

Unlike traditional workload-specific roles, Migration SMEs combine technical depth with customer-facing leadership, enabling them to orchestrate complex migration engagements across multiple technologies and stakeholders. They are accountable for delivering a seamless end-to-end migration experience, driving migration throughput, customer satisfaction, and long-term value realization while helping organizations successfully transform their productivity and collaboration environments in Microsoft 365.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Lead customers through complex migration and modernization journeys from Google Workspace, Exchange, File Shares, Box, Dropbox, and cross-tenant environments to Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online.

Deliver strategic migration guidance by assessing customer requirements, designing migration approaches, and enabling successful adoption of Microsoft cloud services.

Drive customer success by developing scalable migration plans, optimizing migration velocity, and accelerating time-to-value while minimizing business disruption.

Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of coordination between customers, migration delivery teams, partners, and field stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle.

Provide proactive communication, reporting, and risk management to keep stakeholders aligned on migration progress, milestones, dependencies, and remediation plans.

Recommend and implement migration best practices, pilot strategies, and data movement optimization techniques to maximize throughput and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with FastTrack Engineering, Product Groups, field teams, and delivery organizations as a Migration Subject Matter Expert to drive migration-focused incubation programs, pilots, and customer success initiatives.

Partner with stakeholders to shape migration roadmaps, influence product improvements, and incorporate customer feedback into future migration capabilities and experiences.

Facilitate the design and execution of migration initiatives by combining technical expertise, customer insights, and business requirements to address complex onboarding and deployment challenges.

Develop reusable migration methodologies, best practices, playbooks, and technical artifacts that enable consistent, scalable delivery across FastTrack and partner teams.

Act as a customer advocate by bringing field insights, migration trends, and operational feedback into engineering discussions to improve migration tooling, processes, and customer outcomes.

Passion for continuous learning and building expertise across Microsoft 365, Security, Endpoint Management, Copilot, Agents, Identity, Data Security, and related technologies.

Preferred Experience
Customer Success, consulting, technical account management, onboarding, deployment, or support experience.

Experience working with enterprise customers and complex technical environments.

Knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies, security, endpoint management, productivity platforms, application development, or AI solutions.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

Strong communication, program management, and relationship-building skills.

Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to evolving technologies and business priorities.

Why Join Us?
