About the Role:
As a Network Engineer, you will design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure that supports critical business operations and client-facing services. You will work across network technologies to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security. Success in this role is measured through reliable network operations, timely issue resolution, effective infrastructure modernization, and continuous service improvement.
About the team:
The WAN Platform team is a group of highly motivated individuals who are accountable for all Wide Area Networking for Customer, Production and Facility connectivity in all our Datacenter networks. As a team, we work closely together to deliver quality results that customers have come to expect and rely on.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN and data center networks.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve availability and capacity issues
- Provide On-Call support
- Direct engagement with clients - supporting and fulfilling client request
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity, routing, switching, and security incidents
- Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network services
- Collaborate with security teams to strengthen network protections and compliance control
- Implement network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives
- Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams and technical documentation
- Automate network administration tasks to improve operational efficiency and consistency
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and network resilience planning
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable technology solutions
- Lifecycle and Vulnerability Management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of DDOS mitigation, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching,
- Protocols & Frameworks: Mastery of BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP, NAT, and DMVPN settings.
- Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Brocade devices, or similar networking platforms
- Experience with network monitoring, performance analysis, and incident management tools
- Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, segmentation, and access controls
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
- Experience with cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
- Exposure to software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation technologies
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Equinix implementation experience
- Experience supporting highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
