Software Engineer @ Upwind Security Engineering Belfast, Northern Ireland, GB Senior Full-time All Jobs Description WHAT YOU’LL DODevelop dashboards to best aid our incident response capabilitiesDevelop alerts based on SLOs allowing the team to respond to issues quicklyReview logging setup to ensure that understanding the product flow is easy for engineersBenchmarking cloud disk performance and understand tradeoffs between filesystemsReviewing security group and network configurations to ensure the least privilege is being requestedBuild features in the development codebase from time to timeUpdate the application code to review logging, metrics, tracing, auth etc.Reviewing infrastructure costs and looking for potential savingsWrite public-facing Terraform and Cloudformation for AWS, GCP and AzureWork with product development teams to support their IAM needsWe operate on a hybrid working model, with three days per week in our impressive Custom House Square offices (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) and the remaining days working remotely. Requirements WHAT YOU’LL BRING4+ years of experience as an engineer working in a cloud environment.A curious mindset where you like to be challenged to dive deep when required.Proven, hands-on experience with infrastructure as code in production environments (Terraform, Terragrunt, Cloudformation, CDK, ARM-BICEP etc..).Some programming experience (Golang or Java preferred).Scripting/programming skills with Python/Bash/Csh. An innovative approach, with the ability to quickly learn technologies, and implement cutting edge technologies.A strong sense of ownership and accountability .AdvantagesDeep knowledge of snapshotting, volumes and encryption on public clouds.Deep knowledge of filesystems.Hands on experience with multiple cloud vendors, including cross account IAM and identity federation schemesFamiliarity with deploying serverless functions with multiple Cloud Vendors Apply for this job All Jobs
