THE OPPORTUNITY

In Abbott’s Electrophysiology business, we are advancing the treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders through innovative technologies that help physicians diagnose and treat complex arrhythmias, improving patient outcomes and quality of life.Our Medical Devices businesses offer advanced technologies that help people live healthier lives. Through continuous innovation, we deliver market-leading products that support healthcare professionals in improving patient care and outcomes worldwide.The Clinical Sales Representative EP is responsible for managing and growing an assigned customer base, developing new business opportunities, supporting physicians and healthcare professionals with Abbott EP solutions, and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction and compliance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Achieve assigned sales objectives by servicing existing accounts, increasing sales volume within the customer base, and developing new business opportunities.
  • Execute comprehensive territory and account plans to increase market penetration and expand Abbott EP product adoption.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, technicians, procurement teams, and healthcare institutions.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of Abbott EP therapies, products, clinical applications, and competitive offerings.
  • Promote Abbott products in accordance with corporate policies, pricing strategies, and quality standards.
  • Manage customer inquiries and complaints effectively, providing appropriate resolutions and recommendations.
  • Prepare reports, sales analyses, forecasts, and other required business documentation.
  • Complete administrative activities including expense reports, appointment scheduling, CRM updates, and travel planning.
  • Apply account profiling methodologies to maintain detailed account information, including key stakeholders, purchasing processes, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
  • Follow and share sales best practices before, during, and after customer interactions.
  • Act as a professional ambassador of Abbott, demonstrating integrity and professionalism in all customer engagements.
  • Maintain compliance with Healthcare Professional (HCP) guidelines and all applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Proactively plan and communicate weekly travel and customer visit schedules through the appropriate channels.
  • Support business objectives while operating within established sales authority and decision-making guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience within the medical device industry.
  • Basic understanding of medical device technologies, therapies, and healthcare markets.
  • Experience managing customer accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed and geographically diverse organization.

SKILLS / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Electrophysiology therapies and products is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of healthcare market dynamics.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and proactive approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
