Bring your expertise to JPMorganChase and collaborate with colleagues across Risk, Underwriting, Finance and Legal to help ensure consistent application of risk standards and support sound credit decision-making.

As a Credit Strategy Associate within the Chase Auto Credit Decisioning Unit, you will support credit leadership in analyzing consumer credit performance, contributing to strategic initiatives, and assisting with portfolio risk management. Reporting to the Credit Strategy leadership team, you will leverage your analytical skills and business acumen to monitor portfolio trends, prepare reports, and help implement credit strategies.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist with credit analysis and portfolio performance monitoring to help identify risk trends and shifts in key metrics.
  • Support the development and maintenance of underwriting guidelines, policy documentation, and risk frameworks in line with business priorities.
  • Prepare data-driven reports, presentations, and insights for credit leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Help evaluate credit exposures and recommend risk mitigation actions for standard credit scenarios, following established policies.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Underwriting, and Finance teams to help operationalize credit strategy and improve decisioning processes.
  • Participate in special projects related to credit strategy, portfolio optimization, and risk governance.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and development to build expertise in credit strategy, risk models, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, data analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in consumer credit, credit risk, portfolio analytics, underwriting, or related functions at a financial institution or credit analytics organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support actionable conclusions.
  • Basic understanding of consumer credit products, credit risk concepts, and portfolio performance drivers.
  • Proficiency in Excel and quantitative tools 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations to business partners.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about credit strategy, risk models, and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Familiarity with SQL or visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
