In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilitiesAs a Package Consultant specializing in Order Management, you will implement and configure packaged Order Management System (OMS) solutions to streamline order capture, fulfillment, and post-purchase processes. You will leverage out-of-the-box capabilities and tailor them to meet complex fulfillment, inventory, and customer service requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Configure Order Workflows: Design and implement order workflows that integrate with upstream and downstream systems, ensuring seamless order lifecycle management and supply chain orchestration. • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to ensure the OMS platform meets business requirements and integrates with existing systems. • Support Data Migration and Testing: Assist with data migration, testing, and training to ensure successful adoption and long-term operational efficiency of the OMS platform. • Implement Exception Handling: Configure exception handling rules and processes to ensure efficient order fulfillment and minimize errors. • Deliver Solution Delivery: Apply your knowledge of OMS platforms to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise• Exposure to Order Management Systems: Familiarity with packaged OMS solutions, including configuration and implementation to streamline order capture, fulfillment, and post-purchase processes. • Understanding of Supply Chain Orchestration: Knowledge of supply chain operations, including order lifecycle management, inventory visibility, and exception handling. • Experience with System Integration: Exposure to integrating OMS platforms with upstream and downstream systems, such as eCommerce, ERP, WMS, CRM, and payment gateways. • Familiarity with Data Migration and Testing: Understanding of data migration, testing, and training processes to ensure successful adoption and long-term operational efficiency of OMS platforms. • Exposure to Omnichannel Commerce Operations: Familiarity with omnichannel commerce operations, including order workflows, sourcing rules, and inventory management.
Preferred technical and professional experience• Familiarity with Cloud-Based OMS: Exposure to cloud-based Order Management Systems, including configuration and implementation to streamline order capture, fulfillment, and post-purchase processes. • Knowledge of Advanced Supply Chain Analytics: Understanding of advanced analytics and data visualization tools to optimize supply chain operations and improve order lifecycle management. • Experience with Agile Methodologies: Exposure to agile development methodologies, including iterative and incremental approaches to implementing OMS solutions.
