This position supports seamless event execution through attention to detail, organization, and teamwork. The role contributes to creating memorable guest experiences by maintaining clean, well-prepared, and visually appealing function spaces. Success in this role requires efficiency, flexibility, and a strong service mindset.
About the role:
The Banquet House Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down banquet and event spaces in accordance with event specifications. This role supports banquet operations by preparing equipment and supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting the team to ensure successful event execution. This position is part of the Banquets team, reporting to Banquet Management.
What you will do:
Set up and break down tables, chairs, buffets, linens, and equipment according to banquet event orders
Ensure proper placement and condition of all event materials, including china, glassware, and silverware
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet and meeting spaces before, during, and after events
Stock and replenish banquet supplies and service items as needed
Transport and store equipment, materials, and event items safely and efficiently
Assist with moving and organizing furniture and banquet equipment
Support banquet service team as needed to ensure smooth event operations
Respond promptly to guest and team requests during events
Follow all safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
What you bring:
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Previous banquet, hotel, or restaurant experience preferred (minimum 6 months)
Ability to follow detailed instructions and event setup diagrams
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
