Stone Estimator



Our client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturer specializing in custom natural stone, terrazzo, cast stone, GFRC, and architectural concrete products for commercial, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, and government projects. With a collaborative culture focused on innovation and technology modernization, the company is investing heavily in advanced manufacturing and estimating systems while offering long-term career growth in a stable, team-oriented environment.



Responsibilities



  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs from architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Estimate commercial natural stone, precast, terrazzo, GFRC, cast stone, and concrete projects valued between $1M–$20M.
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and addenda.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
  • Prepare bids using Bluebeam, Swift, and an ERP estimating system.
  • Coordinate with sales, project management, and production throughout the estimating process.
  • Perform value engineering, cost analysis, and budgeting while managing multiple projects simultaneously.



Qualifications



  • 3+ years of commercial estimating experience within building products or specialty construction.
  • Experience with natural stone, precast, concrete, or similar architectural products.
  • Strong blueprint reading and quantity takeoff skills.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and experience using ERP systems (AS/400 or similar preferred).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.
  • Residential, roofing, paving, or civil/sitework-only estimating backgrounds are not a fit.
