**Summary:** Meta is seeking an experienced qualified accountant to join the International Statutory Controllership Team. In this role, you will own a statutory global controllership process area while acting as the entity controller for a portfolio of Meta's Latin American entities. You will combine deep statutory accounting expertise with genuine leadership of automation and AI initiatives, helping define how controllership operates in a technology-first organization. This is a senior role that requires both technical depth and the ability to influence across functions.We are looking for a qualified accountant who brings expertise in statutory accounting and reporting, Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is valued but not required, as the role involves statutory controllership for Latin American entities, and a proven track record of leading process transformation. You will not simply run the existing playbook — you will help write the next one. **Required Skills:** LATAM Controller Responsibilities: 1. Own a global statutory control and ownership process area, driving standards, controls, and continuous improvement across the international entity portfolio 2. Act as an entity controller for a portfolio of Latin American entities, ensuring compliance with local GAAP, regulatory requirements, and Meta's group reporting standards 3. Lead automation and AI transformation initiatives that scale localized accounting and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions 4. Apply deep technical judgment to complex, multi-jurisdictional statutory accounting matters 5. Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive statutory compliance and business enablement in high-growth markets 6. Design and implement scalable processes and technology-enabled solutions that support the team's evolving operating model 7. Maintain robust internal controls and ensure that all workflows meet governance, compliance, and SOX requirements 8. Communicate complex accounting and regulatory matters clearly to senior stakeholders, auditors, and cross-functional partners **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 9. Deep expertise in local compliance and statutory accounting for international entities across multiple jurisdictions 10. Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese, (valued but not required) 11. Proven experience leading process automation or transformation initiatives in an accounting or finance environment 12. Working knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, with experience applying these standards in a multinational, multi-entity environment 13. Demonstrated comfort using AI and automation tools to improve productivity and output quality **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 14. Understanding of AI governance principles as applied to financial reporting 15. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 16. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies 17. A track record of continuous learning and adapting quickly to new tools and ways of working 18. Experience supporting business expansion or regulatory change programs in complex jurisdictions 19. Experience building or deploying AI/automation solutions in a finance context 20. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) 21.
