Your Job

As an EHS Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing a strong safety and environmental culture across the site. You will partner with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to identify risks, improve EHS performance, ensure compliance with regulations, and support a safe and productive manufacturing environment. This role offers significant exposure to plant operations and opportunities to influence meaningful improvements in workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

Our Team

Working closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and leadership teams, you will help drive EHS excellence, support continuous improvement initiatives, and promote a culture built on principle-based management and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Drive a strong EHS culture by coaching employees and supervisors on safe work practices.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards and risks.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Design and deliver engaging EHS training programmes across the site.
  • Support compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and field verifications to improve workplace safety performance.
  • Manage critical EHS systems including hazard reporting, incident reporting, and chemical management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements, operational changes, and safety initiatives.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response activities when required.
  • Promote continuous improvement through data analysis, problem-solving, and risk reduction efforts.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent professional EHS qualification.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and internationally recognised EHS standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience within heavy manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Exposure to construction projects, contractor safety management, or construction EHS programmes.
  • Strong root cause analysis and incident investigation skills using methodologies such as 5D or Cause Maps.
  • Knowledge of Saudi regulations, Civil Defense requirements, and Royal Commission regulations for Jubail and Yanbu.
  • Experience with industrial hygiene programmes, emissions control systems, and environmental compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively influencing and coaching others.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on operational environment and positively influence plant culture.
