Abbott is seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist Pharmacovigilance (Affiliate Safety Representative) to join our team in Tunisia. This role is responsible for ensuring that all pharmacovigilance activities for Abbott's registered and investigational medicinal products are conducted in compliance with local regulatory requirements and Abbott's global standards.
As the local Pharmacovigilance representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for health authorities, internal stakeholders, and global PV teams, helping to maintain a robust and compliant local safety system.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the local Affiliate Safety Representative (ASR) and Local Safety Responsible (LSR).
- Maintain local pharmacovigilance procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely receipt, recording, reconciliation, and reporting of safety information.
- Conduct safety surveillance activities, including literature and health authority website monitoring.
- Prepare and support local periodic safety reports and Risk Management Plans.
- Manage regulatory submissions related to pharmacovigilance activities.
- Deliver pharmacovigilance training to local employees and stakeholders.
- Maintain local PV product lists, records, and archives.
- Support vigilance requirements for medicinal products, medical devices, and food supplements.
- Coordinate and support pharmacovigilance audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Manage local PV agreements with distributors, partners, and service providers.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective safety reporting and compliance.
- Support regional and global pharmacovigilance projects as required.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance principles and local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 4 years pharmacovigilance experience within the pharmaceutical industry ideally having worked within a multinational organization
- Experience supporting local regulatory authority interactions.
- Knowledge of safety surveillance, case processing, and pharmacovigilance compliance activities.
