Geocgi is looking for a Data Engineer to support the Department of War’s Women, Peace, and Security mission requirements by developing, organizing, and sustaining the data environment needed for analysis, reporting, and decision support across Joint Staff and partner organizations. This role identifies mission-relevant data sources, engineers reliable access to those sources, and transforms raw information into curated, usable datasets that support operational, statutory, training, and leadership reporting. The position works in a secure government environment and collaborates closely with analysts, subject matter experts, and government stakeholders to improve data quality, accessibility, and consistency. The role also supports development and maintenance of WPS AI-enabled tools and other in-scope data support activities as directed.

This position is a on-site opportunity at the Pentagon in northern Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve automated data pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and integrate information from multiple mission-critical data sources into centralized repositories. Manage curated datasets as discoverable assets, including organizing metadata, documenting data definitions, and maintaining data standards that support reliable analysis and reporting.
  • Identify, acquire, and engineer access to data sources across the Department of Defense, Joint Staff, and interagency stakeholders in support of WPS mission requirements. Support collection, collation, validation, and preparation of data used for statutory reporting, NATO reporting, planning inputs, leadership decision support, and other recurring mission deliverables.
  • Partner with analysts, WPS subject matter experts, and government personnel to translate operational requirements into practical data solutions. Contribute to reporting products, course survey summaries, analytical support efforts, and continuous improvement of data processes, repositories, and AI-enabled tools that support mission execution.
  • Maintain clear technical and functional documentation for datasets, workflows, and standards to promote usability, traceability, and continuity. Ensure data assets are structured and maintained in a way that supports accessibility, consistency, and downstream analytical use in a sensitive government environment.
