Senior Software Engineer - AI Experiences, Microsoft Edge

Drive architecture and technical design for multi-tenant, highly available, and secure distributed systems. Lead engineering efforts from concept through deployment, including design reviews, implementation, testing, monitoring, and live-site operations. Collaborate across partner teams to define technical strategy, align dependencies, and deliver cohesive customer experiences. Analyze reliability, scalability, performance, and security challenges, and drive long-term architectural improvements. Mentor engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and engineering best practices. Leverage telemetry, customer feedback, and operational insights to continuously improve product quality and customer satisfaction. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 5+ years of software engineering experience developing large-scale applications, cloud services, or distributed systems. Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders. Solid system design, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience driving projects from architecture through production deployment and operational ownership. Experience with distributed systems, caching technologies, databases, and service reliability engineering. Experience building full-stack solutions using modern web technologies and frontend frameworks. Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot. Experience developing enterprise management, security, compliance, or productivity solutions. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across organizations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving technologies and priorities.
