As a Data Owner Lead, within the Card CoBrand Team, you will ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and secure while aligning to stakeholder needs, define and classify critical business data, oversee data created, provisioned, or consumed by applications, and support analytics, operations, and reporting and collaborate with business and technology partners to set data strategy and roadmap.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement plans for delivering product data that supports strategic objectives, operations, analytics, and reporting.

  • Identify and document critical data elements with clear definitions and metadata to improve understanding and reuse.

  • Lead publishing of curated data to the data lake and drive toward scalable, governed data products and execute processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks across protection, retention, destruction, storage, use, and quality.

  • Create operational procedures for data development and delivery that standardize quality and controls.

  • Collaborate with partners to define, document, and socialize data usage, providing subject matter expertise on content and application.

  • Partner with technology and business teams to investigate root causes of data issues and recommend remediation.

  • Build relationships with data providers and consumers across Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, Risk, and Control and lead automation and innovation by identifying and executing opportunities to apply emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  •  Six years of industry experience in a data‑related field; Five years of experience in technology engineering and cloud modernization for data analytics on platforms such as AWS.

  • Expertise in SQL (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and strong understanding of database design and data manipulation.

  • Subject matter expertise in business or product data and processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage delivery timelines and keep teams on track to meet goals.

  • Ability to execute through strong internal partnerships.

  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills with solid business acumen.

  • Proficiency in Python for data management, automation, and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, and data architecture.

  • Experience with real‑time data movement in cloud environments.

  • Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud‑native technologies.

  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehouses and experience with data visualization tools.
