Job Description

As part of our team, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a detailed workplan including overview of all activities of the office, in particular regarding the implementation of recurring and ad-hoc processes and projects;
  • Follow-up of resource allocation, actions, deliverables, deadlines, etc.;
  • Fostering synergies and exchange of relevant information between different activities and projects;
  • Actively supporting the development and the management of internal and external networks of experts and Foresight practitioners;
  • Participating in the execution of projects, for instance, by organizing interviews, workshops or seminars;
  • Contributing to the development of an internal and external communication strategy for the Office and proactively supporting its implementation;
  • Follow-up and monitoring of external and consultancy contracts;
  • Identifying areas for further development and proposing actions for improvement;
  • Participating in Strategic Foresight and Planning activities, if required;
  • Supporting all administration actions relevant to all tasks above; 
  • The list above is neither exhaustive nor static and, upon notification from ESA, might evolve if the activity concerned requires it.

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Master´s degree in a relevant discipline is required;
  • Strong communication and networking skills;
  • Ability to understand a wide range of projects and activities and their interconnection;
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects in a simple, clear and engaging way;
  • Ability to foster exchanges and harmonious relationships with and between colleagues;
  • Operationally efficient & results-orientated;
  • Fostering Cooperation;
  • Forward-thinker & problem solver;
  • Discreet and diplomatic;
  • Some knowledge of Strategic Foresight is considered an asset;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
