Join Qualcomm's PDTE (Product Development and Test Engineering) Machine Learning Team and help build production-grade AI solutions that improve engineering productivity, manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and test optimization. We are looking for experienced engineers who can independently drive AI projects from data exploration through model deployment, while contributing to next-generation AI agent and GenAI solutions. You will work on: * Large Language Models (LLMs) * AI Agents and Agentic Workflows * Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) * Production Machine Learning Systems * AI Copilots for Engineering * Predictive Analytics and Optimization * AI-powered Automation Platforms Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and deploy production-grade machine learning solutions * Analyze large-scale engineering datasets and identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements * Select appropriate machine learning algorithms and modeling approaches for business problems * Develop and train machine learning models for prediction, anomaly detection, classification, optimization, and decision support * Evaluate and benchmark machine learning and GenAI solutions using quantitative metrics * Build and maintain AI-powered applications using modern LLM technologies * Design and implement AI agents and agentic workflows that automate engineering processes * Build scalable Python-based software services, APIs, and automation tools * Collaborate with engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions * Independently drive projects from concept to production deployment * Mentor junior engineers and share technical best practices * Stay current with emerging AI technologies and contribute to technical innovation initiatives Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field * 5+ years of industry experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Software Engineering * Strong programming skills in Python * Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models to production environments * Strong understanding of: * Machine Learning algorithms * Feature engineering * Model evaluation and validation * Statistics and data analysis * Software engineering fundamentals * Hands-on experience with: * PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-Learn * Git-based development workflows * Large-scale data analysis * Experience developing GenAI applications using LLMs * Fluent in English (verbal and written) Preferred Qualifications: * Experience designing and implementing AI Agent frameworks (single-agent and multi-agent) * Experience with prompt engineering, RAG systems, and knowledge retrieval platforms * Experience deploying machine learning inference services to production systems * Experience with ML model monitoring and lifecycle management * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS * Experience building APIs, microservices, or data processing pipelines * Experience working with semiconductor manufacturing, product engineering, test engineering, or fab data * Experience deploying machine learning inference systems within automatic test equipment (ATE) is highly desirable * Experience solving yield analysis, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, or process optimization problems Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
