Patient Care Technician - Part Time Nights
Patient Care Technician at Providence Mission Laguna Beach - 0.6 FTE Night
Under general supervision by the RN, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area. The Patient Care Tech is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.

Required Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Coursework/Training: For hires after 10/31/16:
Completion of a CNA program, Or
Completion of first semester nursing program, Or
EMT program completion for hires to Emergency Services.
Coursework/Training: Hires after 9/2018:
Successful completion of dysrhythmia course AND ability to pass rhythm recognition exam test.
Upon hire: California Nursing Assistant Certification License or,
Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Experience with basic data entry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework/Training: Satisfactory completion of medical terminology course or, Knowledge of medical terminology.
1 year of acute patient care experience, Or
6 months experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical or patient support related to provider patient documentation or charting.
1 year Relevant telemetry tech experience.
