Senior System Simulation Engineer (Mechanical)

Position Overview

Primarily involved in multibody dynamics simulation modeling of mechanical systems and mathematical load modeling, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to complete system-level integration, including the development and integration of degradation models and control algorithms for key components such as motors, batteries, and inverters.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the development of multibody dynamics simulation models for mechanical systems to enable product development and design validation.
  • Work under team guidance and collaborate with product teams to understand product requirements, while participating in the development and refinement of mathematical load models.
  • Contribute to the development and simulation of one-dimensional degradation models for key components such as motors, batteries, and inverters, including basic model setup and parameter tuning.
  • Assist in system-level integration and simulation analysis of various models, including multibody dynamics, load, and degradation models.
  • Use system-level simulation platforms such as Ansys Twin Builder for model development, simulation execution, and correlation with experimental data.
  • Participate in the preparation of simulation-related documentation and the organization of technical materials.
  • Develop basic automation for simulation workflows under guidance using programming languages such as Python and MATLAB.
  • Actively learn and stay current with emerging system simulation technologies to continuously enhance technical capabilities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Automation, Vehicle Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience, with a solid foundation in multibody dynamics modeling and simulation for mechanical systems, and familiarity with mainstream simulation tools such as Ansys Twin Builder and Simscape.
  • Basic understanding of the operating principles and degradation modeling methods for components such as motors, batteries, and inverters, with the ability to develop one-dimensional degradation models under guidance.
  • Strong fundamental mathematical modeling skills, with the ability to support the development of load models.
  • Awareness of system integration concepts, with the ability to participate in collaborative multi-model simulation.
  • Basic programming skills, with the ability to support simulation activities using languages such as Python and MATLAB.
  • Good communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrates basic English communication and reading skills, along with strong engineering problem analysis abilities.
