IT Application Specialist

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand pain points, clarify requirements, map current/future processes, and translate demand into deliverable application enhancements or digital solutions.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, BI, and workflow automation to improve efficiency, data visibility, user experience, and business outcomes; define value metrics and track benefits realization.
- Participate in or lead solution delivery projects (e.g., enhancement, rollout, integration), following established IT governance and changing procedures to ensure quality and timely deployment.
- Provide day-to-day application support: triage incidents and requests, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate fixes with local/regional/global IT teams and vendors, and continuously improve support effectiveness.
- Ensure solutions and data usage comply with company standards for security, privacy, compliance, and approved technology practices; contribute to documentation and audit readiness as required.
- Drive user adoption through training, communications, SOPs/knowledge articles, and feedback collection to ensure sustainable processes and continuous improvement.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Management, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years experience in low-code automation, analytics/BI, scripting, or AI solution tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Power BI, Python, or equivalent enterprise technologies)
- Strong capabilities in business analysis, solution delivery, and/or application support in a multinational environment. Hands-on experience with CRM, ERP, PLM, or other enterprise applications is preferred.
- Strong capability to translate business needs into structured requirements, process flows, user stories, functional specifications, and prioritized solution options.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex incidents, analyze recurring issues, and coordinate resolution across multiple teams. Able to balance business demand, technical feasibility, risk, value realization, and adoption considerations.
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with regional/global counterparts in MNC environment is preferred.
Highly Desirable
- Hands-on project experience delivering AI-enabled business solutions (global and/or China) is highly desirable.
Additional Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required to support projects, workshops, and deployment activities.
