This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of data processing systems, while supporting business needs through efficient onboarding, technical guidance, and continuous optimisation of infrastructure and applications. ## What you’ll do * • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for data movement clusters, instances, data flows, and related incidents and problems • Define technical requirements and design, configure, and implement data movement solutions across applications, operating systems, and clusters in line with best practices and agreed KPIs • Develop and maintain data streaming pipelines for ingestion and output across multiple data sources and destinations • Design, configure, and implement data connectors aligned with business needs • Configure, monitor, and maintain infrastructure to improve performance, security, and system availability, including proactive maintenance based on alerts and monitoring tools • Conduct technical investigations and root-cause analysis, ensuring transparency and proposing effective solutions • Support transformation and technology refresh programmes aimed at improving service availability, reducing downtime, and enhancing performance • Contribute to automation initiatives that simplify recurring tasks, standardise processes, and improve delivery efficiency • Create and maintain accurate documentation, including product documentation and operational runbooks • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during exceptional situations when required • Address additional business or technical requests as directed by the direct manager ## Who you are * • Keen to learn and continuously develop new skills • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities • Well organised with the ability to prioritise effectively • Results-focused with a collaborative mindset • Fluent in written and spoken English • Able to work effectively in remote and distributed teams • Comfortable working under pressure and managing tight deadlines • Skilled in creating detailed documentation • Customer-oriented with a focus on enhancing user experience • Advanced knowledge of Apache Kafka and Apache Flink (installation, configuration, deployment, and operations) is advantageous • Good knowledge of Java • Good system administration knowledge (RHEL or similar) • Familiarity with office systems and IT equipment (hardware and software) • Understanding of cloud services and general security principles • Knowledge of scripting languages and databases • Experience with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes preferred) is beneficial • Relevant certifications such as CCAAK, CTAK, Java Oracle certifications, or RHCSA...
