About the Role
We are looking for a Direct Materials Procurement Intern to join our Procurement team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, compliance projects, and cross-functional collaboration within a global organization.
You will support procurement activities across a large and complex direct materials portfolio while contributing to critical business initiatives, including regulatory compliance, supplier engagement, and process optimization projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- University student, recent graduate, or Master's student in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Chemistry, or related fields
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- High learning agility and willingness to take ownership of new tasks
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience participating in university, academic, or extracurricular projects
- Prior internship or corporate experience is a plus
- Knowledge of MS Office tools
What You Will Do
- Support the management of a direct materials portfolio covering more than 100 SKUs through RFPs, e-auctions, and supplier negotiations
- Assist in documentation management, supplier communications, contract initiation, and contract renewal processes
- Support the execution and tracking of the REACH compliance project, covering 200+ chemicals and 50+ suppliers
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Prepare reports, maintain procurement documentation, and support data analysis activities
- Assist with supplier qualification, quality audit follow-up actions, and project tracking
- Support sourcing initiatives, cost-saving projects, and other Global Procurement (GTW) activities
- Contribute to the achievement of procurement savings targets through effective operational support and follow-up
