Your Role: R&D Pipeline Valuation Analyst
The R&D Pipeline Valuation Analyst supports the ongoing valuation of the R&D pipeline by maintaining accurate and complete business case information in EPPM (Elanco Project & Portfolio Management) and supporting related financial analysis and reporting.
The role works closely with cross-functional partners across R&D, Corporate & Global Innovation Strategy, Manufacturing and other functions to ensure that key project and financial assumptions are accurately reflected in the valuation. Additional responsibilities include supporting portfolio and scenario analyses, financial materials and continuous improvement of valuation processes and tools.
Your Responsibilities:
Enter, maintain and update business case data for R&D pipeline projects across different development stages in EPPM.
Review project and financial inputs for completeness, consistency and reasonableness, and proactively follow up on missing or inconsistent information.
Maintain clear documentation and annotations of key valuation assumptions and changes to ensure data quality and traceability.
Prepare valuation summaries and supporting materials for financial discussions.
Analyze changes in project assumptions and ensure that their financial impact and relevant explanations are appropriately reflected in EPPM.
Support portfolio and scenario analyses to assess the financial impact of changes in key project assumptions.
Support documentation and improvement of valuation processes and systems.
Support ad-hoc financial analyses related to R&D projects and portfolio decisions.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Master's degree in Finance with 4-5 years experience, Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of experience or Cost & Management Accountant with 4-5 years experience

Good understanding of financial analysis and valuation concepts.
Ability to identify inconsistencies, ask appropriate questions and follow up proactively.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective global collaboration.
Proficiency in Excel and willingness to work with financial and portfolio management systems.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, valuation or a related finance role.
Experience with discounted cash flow / NPV analysis and financial modeling.
Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, animal health or another R&D-intensive industry.
Experience working with international stakeholders or in a global matrix organization.
Experience with portfolio management or financial systems and process improvement.
Additional Information:
Location would be Elanco’s IAC site in Bangalore, India
Travel Percentage: 0-10%
